John Wall is a rising NBA star. In a short amount of time, he has moved from high school star to Washington Wizards’ #1 draft pick to one of the best players in the NBA. Like many others, Wall works in Washington D.C. and lives in Maryland. His mansion in Potomac, Md perfectly suits his lifestyle as a pro athlete. It has enough room to entertain a large amount of his family and friends overnight while they are visiting D.C. and a full-size indoor basketball court.

John Wall’s Rise to Fame

John Wall began making his mark during his fantastic season as a senior in high school at Word of God Christian Academy. That year he achieved a record which included 9.0 assists, 7.0 rebounds and he averaged 21.0 points per game. He went on to University of Kentucky and as a freshman he rapidly came to the entire nation’s attention.

During the 2010 NBA draft, he became the very first player from Kentucky to be the overall #1 draft pick of the NBA at the young age of 20. He was chosen in the first round of the draft by the Washington Wizards. He burst out of the gate in his home court debut with a record breaking 29 points and 13 assists. He also managed to tie the previous record of nine steals. The NBA team definitely got everything they bargained for and more.

John Wall Rookie Season

In his rookie season (2010-2011) with the Wizards, Wall played in 69 games, starting in 64 of them. From a team perspective he led in total points, assists, steals and average number of minutes played per game. He was the Eastern Conference Rookie of the month for four months from January to April 2011, making him the first rookie in NBA history to achieve this honor. Along with being named Most Outstanding Player during the 2010 NBA Summer League, he was named MVP during the 2011 Rookie Challenge. Also in his rookie season, his #2 jersey came in at number 10 in sales.

NBA All-Star 2014

Season after season, John Wall has continued to dazzle basketball fans. He has turned into an impressive force of nature on the court. Wall rose rapidly through the ranks to take his place solidly among the ranks of bona fide basketball stars. His amazing basketball stats and rising fan base earned him a coveted spot on the NBA All-Star 2014 team (February 14-16, 2014).

Immediately after sealing the deal with the Washington Wizards for a five-year, $80 million contract, Wall poured his earnings into a sprawling mansion in Potomac, Md (October 2013). Wall told the Washington Post that the most important thing to him was to get a place to “comfortably accommodate his mom, siblings and other guests visiting Washington.” The $4.9 million mansion sits on two acres of land and is located just outside I-695 Baltimore Beltway. Eight bedrooms and 12 baths gives Wall plenty of space to entertain his over-night guests. Every room of the 17,350 sq. ft. home is expansive; the home is loaded with amenities fit for an A-list athlete. The full-sized indoor basketball court and elaborate fitness room are perfect for keeping the pro ball player in shape during basketball off-season. The home also has a billiard room, ping pong room, putting green, tennis court, and volleyball court – enough sports gear to host the next summer Olympic Games. To keep Wall and his guest comfortable, they can also enjoy a home theater, a hot tub with waterfall, a steam room, a pool, and an outdoor grill and cabana (Bleacher Report).
